About the Founder

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the
Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to
heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the
opening of the prison to those who are bound; to console those who mourn
in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the
garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness".
(Isaiah
61:1,3)
Carrie has first hand knowledge of the devasting effects
that abuse can cause well into adulthood because she was sexually abused
as a child. Some of the struggles she had to overcome are a lack of
self-worth, identity and purpose. Others include a poor self-image, low
self-esteem, depression, feelings of shame, guilt, anger, and fear.
Due to
much prayer and love and encouragement from friends, and the love and
support of her husband William, she came to understand who she is in
Christ and the love her Heavenly Father has for her. Because of this she
has made great strides in her journey towards wholeness, becoming a
victor-not a victim. In response to the love, support and encouragement
she received, and with a burning desire to help others become victors as
well, she founded
Healing Love Outreach Ministries.
Carrie is a
graduate of The School of the Local Church at Grace
Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma under
Pastor-teacher Bob Yandian and School Director Geof Jackson. She is a
graduate of CWE Bible Institute of Jersey City, N.J. and she holds a B.A.
degree in Christian Counseling from the International Bible College and
Seminary. She also was a counselor and secretary at Restoration Outreach,
an Exodus International referral ministry.
